The reason for the change is so many people end up scratching the hex nut during the installation process. So what the guys have done is made the large guide rod able to screw right into the front of your body, there is 3/16 allen hole in the front of the large guide rod for easy installation.

during the installation process. So what the guys have done is made the
large guide rod able to screw right into the front of your body, there is
3/16 allen hole in the front of the large guide rod for easy installation.
Overall it will look cleaner and be more user friendly. At this time we
only offer the new design for the 2k pump kits.
